While most celebrities seemingly age slower than ordinary folks like us, there are few that look like they know how to stop time altogether. (Or maybe, have access to a secret fountain of youth somewhere.) Ellen DeGeneres is definitely one of them.
The famous television host and comedian has basically looked the same for as long as one can remember. It’s hard to believe that she just turned 64 this year when she doesn’t look a day over 40. Which often makes you wonder, what’s her secret?
Lucky for us, the celebrity host turned beauty entrepreneur has let us in on some of the secrets behind her flawless complexion.
When it comes to skincare, the Finding Dory actor follows the less is more approach. She starts her morning skincare routine by cleansing her face with vitamin C-rich Gentle Cleanser from her newly launched skincare line, Kind Science.
Then she applies Kind Science’s bakuchiol-infused Firming Serum—which tackles wrinkles and fine lines without irritating the skin. Followed by the brand’s ultra-hydrating moisturizer.
Lastly, she dabs Kind Science’s Eye Cream under her eyes that packs the antioxidant goodness of Kakadu plum. “If I’m shooting that day, my makeup artist adds a little Radiance Oil to my foundation to brighten my complexion,” says DeGeneres.
At night, she washes her face with the same cleanser that she uses in the morning. “It takes all my show makeup off so easily,” notes DeGeneres. “Then I put a little Hydration Cream on my face and get all tucked into bed by 8 pm sharp,” adds the Emmy award-winning comedian.
When asked what her number one skincare rule is, she replies, “I have three. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.” Her go-to exfoliator is Kind Science’s Micro Exfoliant+ that’s formulated with bamboo silk and volcanic sand. “It’s so gentle but works great,” says DeGeneres.
